There are 3 commands the Range Officer will give before you are permitted to fire. Whether you are on the mound or off the mound, your rifle must not have the bolt in its action. Breach flags are to be used if your bolt cannot be removed. Your magazine must be empty. 

These commands are:

LOAD: This command allows you to load your magazine and fit your bolt.

ACTION: This command allows you to action the rifle action to chamber a round.

WATCH AND SHOOT x 2: This command allows to commence firing on the target once the target has presented itself. It will be given in two commands.......watch and shoot watch and shoot.

These commands are in the NRAA SSR at Appendix 3. Please make yourself familar with these commands as they must be adhered to and failure to do so will result in a disqualification or worse still safety breach written warning if it persists.

The command CEASE FIRE shall dictate that all shooters will unload, bolts taken out and to present rifle for clearance.
